A lorry driver of a lorry fled the scene after colliding with an ESB pole in east Donegal which led to a road closure and left homes without power.
The low loader lorry carrying a dumper was travelling at Main Street, Killygordon, from the direction of Castlefin when it collided with the ESB pole on Friday, February 7, at approximately 5.55pm.

The driver did not remain at the scene but left in the direction of Ballybofey. The road was closed for a time and many homes were without power as a result of the collision.
“We appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to contact Letterkenny Gardaí on 074-9167100,” Garda Gráinne Doherty said. “If anybody travelled on the N15 between Castlefin and Ballybofey/Stranorlar with a dash cam on that date between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, we ask them to please make the footage available to us.”
