Maggie Boyle, Burtonport

The death has occurred of Maggie (Margaret) Boyle, formerly of The Thatch, Burtonport. She died peacefully at her home in Burtonport.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Dinny (Denis) Boyle; sadly missed by her son John, daughters Angela and Mary Murray, son-in-law Denis and grandchildren Damien Murray and Meghan Culligan, daughter-in-law Laura, son-in-law Conor and great-grandchildren Fionn, Odhran and Oonagh.

Her remains are reposing in McGlynn's Funeral Home on Thursday from 3pm until 8pm rosary, followed by removal to her home at Crossroads, Burtonport. House private after 9pm and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Saturday at St Columba's Church, Burtonport, with interment in Cruit Cemetery. 

Mary McHugh, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Mary Mc Hugh (née Donovan), Dreenan, Ballybofey, F93 T3VT.

Beloved wife of the late Jim,and much loved sister of the late John and Ellen Bonar. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her nephew Liam, and extended family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Family time from 9pm until 11am, and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral leaving from her late residence on Friday at 10.30 am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon at 11am. Interment will take place afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Mass will be streamed live on https://youtube.com/@killygordonparish

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the Irish Heart Foundation of Ireland, care of any family member.

Paddy O'Byrne, Malinbeg

The death has occurred peacefully at his late residence, of Paddy O'Byrne, Malinbeg, Glencolmcille.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Maire, his sons, Michael and Martin and daughter-in-law Sinead, sisters Mary Patricia, Kathleen and Ann, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remais are reposing at his late residence at F94 K383. House private on both nights from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal on Friday morning for Funeral Mass at 12 noon to St Columba's Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mass will be streamed at https://www.mcnmedia.tv/Camera/st-columbas-glencolmcille

Jean Rodgers, Convoy

The death has occurred of Jean Rodgers (née McBrearty), Killynure, Convoy. 

Predeceased by her husband John, sister Lizzy and grandsons Conor and Gavin. Much loved mother of John, Paul, Pete, Julie and Carol. Adored grandmother of Jake, Zoe, Oisin, Ryan, Noah, Grace, Hannah, William, and Alan. Jean will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews wider family circle, neighbours and many friends.

Her remains will repose at her late residence from 2pm Thursday. Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral, and family flowers only.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Convoy with burial afterwards in St Eunans cemetery Raphoe. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Craigs Media Facebook page.

Bella Gallagher, Laghey

The death has occurred of Bella Gallagher (née Monaghan) Rathneeny Barr, Laghey. She died peacefully at her residence, in her 96th year, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband, Sonny, her infant son and deceased members of the Monaghan and Gallagher families. Much loved mother to Hugh and Mary; sadly missed by her daughter-in-law, Ann, and son-in-law, Stephen, her adored grandchildren, Amanda, Enya Cartha, Emma, Bronagh & James. Fondly remembered by her sister, Maggie, brother, Seamus, nieces, nephews, extended family and wide circle of friends.

Her remains are reposing at St Brigid's Church, Ballintra on Thursday from 5pm until prayers at 7pm, for anyone wishing to attend during this time.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Mass maybe viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/ballintra

Thomas Doran, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Thomas Doran (Dorrian), Dunkineely. He died peacefully, at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Con and Cassie, brothers Willie, Patrick, Connie, sisters Bridie and Anna; sadly missed by his nephew Connel, niece Margaret and extended family.

His remains reposed overnight at the Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless, to arrive at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Katie McConalogue, Stranorlar

The peaceful death has occurred, at Brindley Manor Nursing Home, Convoy, of Katie McConalogue, née Long, 558 Ard McCool, Stranorlar, F93 V3Y6.

Deeply missed by her loving husband Phonsie, daughters Breda and Michael (Glenmaquin), Marie and her husband Michael Walsh (Glenmaquin), grandchildren Codie and Troy, brothers Benny (England), Harry (Barnes Road), Liam (England) and Charlie (Cappry), her sister Maggie (Sessiaghoneill), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Katie is predeceased by her parents John and Bridget, brothers John, Paddy and Jim and sisters Maura McLaughlin and Aggie Lonergan.

Katie’s remains will continue to repose at her late residence on Thursday from 11am until 10pm, with Rosary at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral, please.

Funeral from there on Friday at 10.30am going to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, for 11am Requiem Mass, which can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar. Interment will take place afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Stranorlar. 

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Brindley Manor Patients Comfort Fund c/o any family member.

Paddy McGrath, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Paddy McGrath, Scribley, Letterkenny F92 P2RC and formerly from Strabane.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Anna, daughter Christina and husband Stephen, son Eamonn and wife Fiona, son Patrick and wife Ena, daughter Fiona, son Eugene, grandchildren Kai, Jamie, Sean and Ciara, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Paddy’s remains will continue to repose at his late residence on Thursday from 2pm until 10pm with Rosary at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Friday at 12.30pm going to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 1pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny Interment will take place afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.

Mary Faulkner, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Mary Faulkner (née Haugh), Fox's Lair, Church Road, Bundoran. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Sligo University Hospital.

Beloved wife of Brendan and adored mother to Brian. Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by her loving family, her sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her uncle and all her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from the Fox's Lair on Thursday at 2.15pm to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 2.30pm. Burial will take place afterwards in St Ninnidh's Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran.

Dr Raymond Joseph Kerr, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Dr Raymond Joseph Kerr, Church Road, Bundoran. He died at his late residence following a short illness, in the presence of his loving family.

Dearly beloved husband of Nuala, and much loved father of sons Richard (Deceased), Raymond and partner Claire, daughters Elizabeth and husband Alan Wenden, and Louise. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, sister Renee Loughnane, Brothers Maurice and Gerald, brother-in-law Vincent Kennedy, sisters-in-law Regi and Helen Kerr, and Evelyn Nugent, and all his nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, colleagues, neighbours and friends. He is predeceased by his sister Marie Kennedy, brother-in-law Michael Loughnane and brother and sister-in-law Larry and Claire Burke. 

His remains will continue reposing at the family home on Thursday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Please use Church car park when attending the wake. House private at all other times please.

Removal from there on Friday morning at 10.45am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in St Ninnidh's Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran.

Alice Mc Ginley, Mayo and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Alice Mc Ginley, née Kelly, St Patricks Avenue, Crossmolina, County Mayo, and formerly Ballyshannon. She died peacefully at Moyridge Sonas Nursing Home Ballina surrounded by her loving family on December. 

Predeceased by her brothers Patrick and Francis, she is deeply missed by her husband Sean, sons Gerard, Paul and John, daughters-in-law Ann and Angela, sisters Mary, Sheila and Pauline, grandchildren Brian, Stephen, Kevin, Fionn, Liadh and Aoibhinn, brothers-in-laws, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St Tiernan's Church, Crossmolina. Burial will take place afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Alice’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchtv.ie/crossmolina

Sr Martina Hamilton, Ballyshannon and Leitrim

The death has occurred of Sr Martina Hamilton, St Catherine’s Convent of Mercy, Ballyshannon, formerly Killargue, Dromahair, County Leitrim. Sr Martina passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the loving care of the staff at St Phelim's Nursing Home, Dromahair, County Leitrim.

Predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Roseann and Tottie, she is sadly missed by her brother, John, sister, Bernadette, sister-in-law, Bella, brother-in-law, Benny, by the St Catherine's Mercy Community, Ballyshannon and the wider Mercy Community of the Northern Province; by her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Sr Martina’s remains will be reposing at Our Lady’s Hospital Funeral Home, Manorhamilton (beside the hospital) on Thursday  from 4pm until 7pm.

Funeral Mass in St Clare’s Church, Manorhamilton on Friday at 12noon with interment in the Abbey Cemetery, Ballyshannon afterwards.

Patrick Kelly, Crossroads

The sudden death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Kelly, Garrison Lane, Dromore, Crossroads, Killygordon, F93.R5XR.

Beloved husband of Sadie, and much loved father of Claire (Mark), Karl (Aisling), Patricia (Nicolas), dearly loved grandfather to Conor, Céile, Odhrán Úna, Sophie, cherished brother of Isobel, John, Tommy, Margaret, Liam, Paul. 

Funeral leaving from his late residence on Thursday at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Family time from 9pm until 11am, and on the morning of the funeral.

Dr John Quinn, Ballyshannon and Roscommon

The death has occurred of Dr John Quinn, Portnason, Ballyshannon, and formerly of Clooneybeirne, Tulsk, County Roscommon. He died peacefully in the loving care of the Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal Town in his 100th year.

Predeceased by his wife Mai, brothers Martin, Tom and Paddy, sisters Kathleen and Martina. John will be sadly missed by his heartbroken daughter Anne, sister Carmel (Blackrock), sister-in-law Rita (Tulsk), nephews Pat (Elphin), John (Chicago) Patrick-John, Anthony (Dublin), Martin P (Boston) and Michael (London), nieces Ursula, Kate (Tulsk), Shoana (Dublin) and Vonnie (New York), their partners Caroline, Jörg, Paul, Michael and Victor. He will be forever remembered by all his grand nephew and nieces, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends. Especially Sharon who has played a very important role in John's life down through the last few years.

Funeral to arrive at St Joseph's Church, The Rock on Thursday for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
