The following deaths have taken place:

Bridget Carr, Fanad

The death has taken place of Bridget Carr, née Friel, Glinsk, Fanad. She passed away peacefully at her home, in her 101st year, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband John; deeply regretted by her daughters Mary McElwaine and her husband Patrick (Ballylar), Christine McElwaine and husband John (Ballylar), Anne McColgan and husband Owen (Muff), Fidelma Mc Daid and husband Gary (Glenswilly), Bridgeen Doherty and husband Paddy (Killyclug), Martina Harley and husband Gerard (RIP 2022) (Rathdonnell), sons Shaun and wife Susan (Aughnagaddy), Patrick and wife Mari (Glinsk), Paul and wife Siobhan (Grovehall, Ramelton) and Enda and wife Brighdín (Cashelshanaghan); sadly missed by her adored 28 grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and her many many friends.

Bridget's remains are reposing at her late residence with Rosary nightly at 9pm. A one-way traffic system will be in operation during the day (entry at Leatbeg crossroad and exit at Ladden). From 2 pm until 9.30pm minibus transport will be available with pick-up from the lay-by beside the Harry Blaney Bridge. Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal from there on Saturday arriving at St Mary's Church, Fanavolty for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. The Requiem Mass will be recorded and will be available to view on The Mc Ateer Funeral Director Facebook Page later on Saturday.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Mevagh Voluntary Fire Service c/o any family member.
