Popular Finn Valley Men’s Choir concerts nearly upon us

Finn Valley Men’s Choir are currently busy preparing for their upcoming concerts in the Balor Arts Centre which take place on Friday June 14 and Saturday June 15.

Such was the success of their sell out concert last year, the choir have decided to add an extra night this year and already tickets are selling out fast.

It has been a busy year for the men who have performed at Culture Night in the County Museum, the switching on of the Christmas lights at The Volt House, Raphoe, Twin Towns and Convoy, and the Men's Health event in Finn Valley A.C.

They have also been featured on ‘Monday Night Sessions’ on Highland Radio with Paul McDevitt and Jimmy Stafford.

Their performance of Rock n Roll Kids on the show had over 14,000 views on Facebook.

There are currently 37 men in the choir from all over the Finn Valley and Tyrone. They meet each week in The Parish Centre in Stranorlar with their musical director Alice Gildea and conductor Catherine Given.

Songs in the upcoming concert include ‘Rock ’n’ Roll Medley, ’The Sound of Silence’, ’The Fields of Athenry’ ‘You Raise me Up’ ‘Daydream Believer’ and ‘True Friends’ to name but a few.
