The GAA has confirmed that if Donegal get past Louth in the All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-finals, they must play either Meath or Monaghan in the last eight.

The Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) this afternoon released details of the permutations for the quarter-finals.

Before that, the preliminary quarter-final round ties take place, with Kerry welcoming Cavan to Killarney on Saturday, before Dublin take on Cork at Croke Park. Then, on Sunday, Down will play Galway in Newry before Donegal’s home fixture in Ballybofey against Louth.

The four group winners are already seeded in the All-Ireland quarter-finals - Armagh, Monaghan, Tyrone and Meath - which take place on the weekend of June 28, 29, and they will be joined by this weekend's winners/

There cannot be repeated pairings of any group game or provincial finals. Should Louth, the Leinster champions, come out on top on Sunday, they must play Tyrone or Armagh, in the last eight, while Kerry, if they overcome Cavan, could be on a collision course with Armagh, the All-Ireland champions.

The following repeat pairings will not be allowed:
• Armagh v Dublin/Galway/Donegal
• Monaghan v Down/Louth
• Tyrone v Donegal/Cavan
• Meath v Louth/Kerry/Cork
