Oisin Gallen of Donegal in action against Monaghan
Donegal take on Meath for a place in the All-Ireland SFC final and after a little bit of over and back, both teams will be wearing their home kits.
It had been reported that it would be the white away top for Donegal, while Meath were said to be planning a third kit. It was understood that the Royal County would be wearing a yellow jersey, similar to that normally worn by their goalkeeper, Billy Hogan.
Meath supporters might have been content enough as the last time they won an All-Ireland SFC semi-final, they hammered Kerry 2-14 to 0-5 in 2001 in yellow. However, they went on to lose to Galway in the final.
But on Wednesday, Donegal GAA confirmed that they would wear their traditional kits, with their opponents doing the same. So Meath will line out in green with their gold trim and white shorts. Donegal’s gold and green jersey with green shorts is a familiar one - although there have been some twists and turns.
