Tony Brosnan of Kerry in action against Manus Doherty of Clare during the Munster final in Limerick
Donegal will face Clare in Ennis in the first of their three fixtures in the round-robin stage of the All-Ireland SFC.
The fixture is down for the weekend of May 20 and 21 in Group 4, while Monaghan will take on whoever wins the Ulster SFC, Derry or Armagh.
Donegal's second fixture is at home to the Ulster champions on June 3 before they take on Monaghan at Croke Park two weeks later.
The winner of the four-team group goes straight into the All-Ireland quarter-finals, with the second and third placed teams going into a play-off round.
Clare were comfortably beaten 5-14 to 0-15 at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick in the Munster final, with David and Paudie Clifford scoring 2-6 and 1-0 respectively, on an occasion tinged with tragedy a day after the passing of their mother Ellen.
The only championship meeting between Clare and Donegal came in the second round of the 2009 All-Ireland qualifiers in Ballybofey, which John Joe Doherty’s team won 0-13 to 1-7.
