Donegal star Amy Boyle Carr
Donegal manager John McNulty has made two changes to his side that overcame Westmeath two weeks ago in Letterkenny as they attempt to keep their winning streak alive when they travel to face Monaghan tomorrow in their round 4 clash in Division 2.
Katy Herron from Glenfin and Amy Boyle Carr from Naomh Conaill both return to the starting 15 tomorrow against Monaghan in Truagh at 2pm.
McNulty’s charges - who defeated Laois their first day out before falling to a strong Kildare team the following week - held a 0-5 to 0-1 lead at the changeover against Westmeath and in the end were full value in adding another three points to the Lidl Ladies Division 2 board with a 1-9 to 1-3 victory.
Monaghan have yet to secure any points in the league, losing their opening three games to Tyrone, Westmeath and Kildare, while Donegal sit in joint third place alongside Tipperary, with only Tyrone and Kildare ahead of them.
With all roads leading to Monaghan tomorrow for the ladies' team, McNulty informed Donegal Live during the week of their injury situation, with Shauna McFadden expected to be missing for another few weeks following her injury against Kildare.
“I think there’s at least another three weeks until Shauna is back in any capacity really. She has a dislocated bone in the elbow after the Kildare game which is a bad injury but she’s coming through it.
“We have a few other small injuries in players, nothing major thankfully, but hopefully in another month we will be back to full strength.”
