After their big win away to Cloughaneely last Sunday, Red Hughs were unable to back it up on Wednesday night in their penultimate league game in Division 2, when they went down to Naomh Muire at The Banks.

The result means that they are relegated to Division 3 for 2025, but again they put up a brave fight.

Having to contend without their county player, Stephen McMenamin, they were five points down at the break with the home side leading 0-8 to 0-3 but they fought to the end, losing the second half by just a point, 0-6 to 1-4.

The result also means that Cloughaneely are now in the relegation play-off place in the Division.
