Cloughaneely's regulation league season came to an end with a heavy defeat to Milford on Friday night.
They will now play the third-placed team in Division 3, Naomh Brid, in a relegation/promotion play-off to determine league status for next season. Milford led 0-6 to 0-4 at half-time before pulling away in the second half.
Shaun Maguire, Ciaran Coll, Darren McGeever, Shaun Curran, Darren Ferry and Padraig Coyle scored for Cloughaneely who were without the injured John Fitzgerald and lost Darren McGeever at half-time.
Kilian McBride and TJ Evesson scored the goals for Milford who dominated this tie from very early in the contest.
Dylan Dorrian and Kane Barrett, with three points each, were in fine scoring form for the James McGinley-managed side while Shane Black, Peter Curran, Eoin O’Donnell, Cathal McGettigan and Kyle Black all kicked points to confirm a fifth-place finish in the league table.
