Club delegates pictured in Pettigo last Wednesday night
Killybegs GAA has asked the Ulster Hearings Committee to take a look at the Donegal GAA Convention as the club feels proper procedure on a number of issues wasn’t followed on the night.
DonegalLive understands that their gripe centres on both the voting of officers and, in particular, the process used there as well as how motions were dealt with on the night of which Killybegs submitted seven of the 11 in Pettigo.
In the end, three of those were withdrawn by the Killybegs representation at the Termon Centre last Wednesday night, one was passed and the remaining three failed.
Attempts to contact Killybegs GAA for comment proved unsuccessful however Donegal chairperson Mary Coughlan did confirm that the club has been in touch with Ulster and that they have been asked to provide clarity on the matter early on the New Year.
“Donegal has received notice from Ulster Hearings that we have to appear before, and respond, to the Hearings Committee in Ulster at the beginning of January with regards to a query by the Killybegs club to how the method voting at Convention was conducted.”
