It was good to see Patrick McBrearty back leading out Donegal on Sunday. Michael Langan had done the honours in the opening two games. With the armband, McBrearty looked back to near his best. If he had fired to the net rather than over the bar after a great move started by his clubmate Ryan McHugh on 15 minutes, it would have been a contender for goal of the season. Conor O’Donnell and Oisin Gallen were also involved. The contribution of the Kilcar duo McBrearty and McHugh was a huge feature of the win.
