Two crucial late points from David Clifford sealed University of Limerick's Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup final place at the expense of DCU at Netwatch Cullen Park last night.

DCU had Mark Curran from Dungloe starting at full-back, alongside Killybegs' Seamus Óg Byrne, while St Eunan's Shane O'Donnell came off the bench to kick two points from play as the 2020 winners came from three down in the second half.

However, Clifford, kicked two out of the last three scores to give UL a 0-14 to 0-11 win in the end, taking his contribution to 5-19 in his side's four outings in the competition. Ross Marley from Glenfin was on the bench for DCU and Termon’s Jamie Grant and MacCumhaill’s Oisin Gallen were listed on the extended panel at the start of the competition. UL will play NUI Galway in the final.
