The final round of games in the Allianz National Football League Division One take place on Sunday next and there is a real battle for survival in the top flight.

Donegal are one of five teams still in the mix trying to avoid the drop. The only certainty after last weekend's round 6 games is that Kerry will contest the final.

There is something at stake for the other seven teams with Mayo and Armagh battling for the other final spot.
The spotlight, however, will be on the bottom five to see who will make the drop.

The fixtures next weekend are:
Donegal v Armagh
Kerry v Tyrone
Monaghan v Dublin
Mayo v Kildare

With Dublin and Monaghan at the bottom with four points each, there will be a massive game in St Tiernach's Park, Clones. The losers will be automatically relegated.

That would put the spotlight on the three games involving the teams on five points - Donegal, Tyrone and Kildare. If they were to win their games, all three would be safe and the winners of the Monaghan-Dublin tie would be relegated on six points.
However, it is more likely that it could come down to score difference if those three teams on five points lose.

Donegal's position is clear - defeat Armagh and they will be out of the equation. A draw would not guarantee safety but would be the next best result. It would take some surprise results elsewhere for them to lose out on six points.

In the event of Donegal being defeated, then they need to match Tyrone's result, ie, if Tyrone were to lose out by three points, a three point defeat for Donegal against Armagh would still see them safe as they have a better score difference than Tyrone.

There are so many permutations and all ears and eyes will be on radios and phones as the final minutes play out on Sunday next.
