Yvonne Bonner, Nicole McLaughlin and Emer Gallagher in Carrick-on-Shannon today
Smiles were in plentiful supply this afternoon in Carrick-on-Shannon following Donegal’s superb victory over Dublin in the TG4 All-Ireland SFC quarter-final.
Maxi Curran’s side were 3-7 to1-7 winners over Dublin to confirm their place in the semi-final next Saturday against a Meath side who defeated Galway 1-12 to 1-11.
Afterwards, there were acknowledgements presented to three Donegal players, Yvonne Bonner, Nicole McLaughlin and Emer Gallagher from Donegal LGFA, on passing 100 appearances for Donegal.
Donegal LGFA said the three are “great footballers, brilliant role models off and on the pitch for us in Donegal. Congratulations to Yvonne Bonner over 140 appearances, Nicole on 103 and Emer, who reached the 100 just today in her return from an ACL injury.
“We can’t thank these girls enough for their time, effort and commitment to Donegal LGFA Ladies Football down through the years - with more to come.”
