Termon continued their unbeaten run in the U-21A Championship with a fine win over St Eunan’s coming from seven down in an entertaining contest at the Burn Road.

Termon 2-10
St Eunan’s 1-11

Following wins over Milford and a draw with Gaoth Dobhair, the victory courtesy of Conr Black’s late goal meant a first defeat for St Eunan’s, who had led for the bulk of the contest.

The win puts Temon onto five points from three outings - their first clash at MacCumhaill's fell foul of a water-logged pitch - with St Eunan's finishing their group stage on five, the same as Gaoth Dobhair.

The wind played a factor with Sean McVeigh’s St Eunan’s leading 1-6 to 1-2 at the break, with Padraig McGettigan the goalscorer and Shane O’Donnell hitting three in a profitable opening when they were 1-4 to 0-0 in front.

Ryan McFadden got the hosts moving with the first of his six points and Bobby McGettigan’s goal an important score with the home side due to have the wind at their backs in the second half.

Ronan Coady in the St Eunan’s goal made an important save from McGettigan - at the expense of a point - as the maroon and white’s got themselves going. St Eunan’s, with O’Donnell, Dylan Doogan and David Boyle registering, were managing to keep themselves at arm’s length four in front.

However, successive scores from Aaron Reid , Cian McMenamin and McFadden pulled Termon’s deficit back to just the one and Conor Black slid his side’s all-important second goal past Coady at the bitter end. McFadden pointed again to ensure a home win.
