Under the lights in Kentucky, Dungloe were out of the blocks very quickly and Naomh Conaill, who lifted the Co. league title recently, were not able to match the.

In the first minute the Rosses men had the ball in the Naomh Conaill net with a high ball from Ryan Connors going all the way to the net.

Ryan Greene was superb for the winners, hitting points from all angles.

Naomh Conaill did settle somewhat but by half-time Dungloe, now superior in most areas of the field, had built up a 1-10 to 0-3 lead.

It didn’t get any easier for the the Glenties men as Dungloe were relentless and continued to press high up the pitch.

Again Dungloe outscored their opponents in the second half to lift the title in emphatic style 1-18 to 0-8 points and now go forward to the county semi-finals next weekend. They will take on Glenfin in the semi-final while Naomh Conaill will be set for another battle with Northern champions, St. Eunan’s, whom they defated to win the League title in Glenfin.
