Convoy golfer Ryan Griffin
Donegal golfer and Convoy native Ryan Griffin is gearing up for this summer's Arnold Palmer Cup at Lahinch.
Scheduled from July 5 to July 7, Griffin (representing Maynooth & Rosappena) joins Max Kennedy (from Louisville & Royal Dublin), Kate Lanigan (of Maynooth & Hermitage), and Sara Byrne (representing Miami & Douglas), solidifying Ireland's presence alongside Spain as leading in terms of country selections.
Griffin and Kennedy will don the international colours for the second time after they impressed in the US in last year’s contest while Lanigan and Byrne are set to make their debut in the competition which puts the best college players in the world together.
This announcement further stirs excitement in Irish golf circles as the three-day event unfolds on the scenic links of Lahinch in County Clare. Adding to the anticipation, Maynooth University's golf program manager Barry Fennelly takes on the role of International Head Coach.
