Elderly man has died following Lifford collision

A 72 year old drive man injured in a crash near Lifford on August 30th has passed away.

He has been named locally as Seamus Murray, 9 St Columba`s Grove, Ballyduff, Lifford.

The two car collision on the 30th August occurred on the Lifford to Letterkenny Rd just outside Lifford at approximately 3.15pm.

Mr Murray. the sole occupant of one car, was injured and taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where he passed away last Friday.

The other car was driven by a male in his early 30's who was uninjured. His two young passengers were also unhurt in the collision.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 3pm and 3.15pm to contact them in Letterkenny on 074 9167100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
