Referee deems Finn Park unplayable

FINN HARPS V ST. PATRICK'S ATH CALLED OFF

Referee deems Finn Park unplayable

Finn Park was deemed unplayable for game against St. Patrick's Athletic

The Finn Harps versus St. Patrick's Athletic SSE Airtricity League Premier Division tie tonight was called off just over 30 minutes before kick-off.
Referee Thomas Connolly, after inspecting Finn Park, deemed it unplayable. Many of the Finn Harps supporters were just arriving at the time when the announcement was made.
Finn Harps, after an encouraging performance at home to Cork City on Monday (losing to a controversial penalty), were hoping to get a positive outcome.
Finn Harps were going to be without Josh Mailey, Adam Hanlon and Damian McNulty, but they were hoping to get a first win in nine outings.
St. Patrick's Athletic travelled on the back of a great win in the EA Sports League Cup final against Limerick FC.
The postponement is another disappointment for the Ballybofey club, who had been hoping to get a much needed boost, both in terms of points and finance.
Harps next scheduled game is away to Galway United on Saturday of next week, 1st October.
