There could be a dilemma for the Donegal CCC this evening after the Intermediate quarter- final between Naomh Columba and St. Naul's ended all square.
The replay has not been fixed yet, but will probably be midweek under lights.
The draw for the semi-finals are due to take place after the Naomh Conaill-St. Eunan's senior quarter-final in the Press Box in MacCumhaill Park this evening around 6.30.
Yesterday, the eight clubs taking part in the Intermediate quarter-finals were notified by the CCC that if Milford were in the draw, that they had requested a Friday night fixture, and the notification said that one of the Intermediate semi-finals would be held on Friday night.
At that stage Milford hadn't qualified for the semi-final, but subsequently did so, narrowly defeating Naomh Brid by a goal in Convoy. But what happens if Milford are drawn against the winners of Naomh Columba/St. Eunan's. Will the winners of the replay be asked to play on Wednesday and again on Friday?
It is also learned that the other two teams involved, Burt and Aodh Ruadh, have notified the CCC that they do not wish to play on Friday night, due to players away, etc.
The draw will be watched with interest.
