A former Bundoran Town Cllr has welcomed the resumption of the Ulsterbus Enniskillen to Bundoran bus service.
The parent company of Ulster Bus, Translink, withdrew the service last September.
At that time, the company said that not enough passengers had been using the route to make it worthwhile.
The move was part of a series of cutbacks following what the company described as a significant reduction to its public funding.
This week, Sinn Féin's Mick McMahon said he was delighted that service on this route has resumed.
"This is a very important route, used by so many people from East Fermanagh, many of whom live in quite rural areas, to come to Ballyshannon and Bundoran.
“It's also a vital service for the people of Pettigo and Belleek, allowing those without cars to go to their nearest town to conduct their business, visit the doctor or the pharmacy, do their messages, etc.
“The reinstatement of this services is good news for everyone living in the region as a whole, on both sides of the border, and especially for tourism business here in Bundoran, which benefit from NI visitors.”
