After a bitterly cold day, this evening will see temperatures drop further tonight, hitting minus six degrees in some places.
Freezing fog is expected to be dense in some areas so caution is urged on those travelling later tonight.
Generally temperatures will range from -2 to -6 degrees in calm, settled, conditions.
