One of Donegal’s best known hotels, the Ostan Gweedore in Bunbeg, is set to go up for auction on Tuesday. 
The property is listed to go under the hammer at the Allsop Auction on December 13th with opening bids due to get underway at 8am.
The auctioneers state on their website that the property was available for open viewings on Saturday 3rd December and last Saturday, December 10th.
They have the reserve range set between €590,000 - €610,000 with the starting price listed as €600,000.
The sellers solicitor firm for the sale is Ronan Daly Jermyn Solicitors who have offices in Galway and Cork.
The site states the property is “a scenic 32 bedroom hotel and leisure centre on a site of 30.7 hectares (76 acres)”.
It adds: “The property is arranged over ground and two upper floors to provide a 32 bedroom hotel and leisure centre. Internally the property comprises a former 32 bedroom hotel, 2 x function rooms, leisure centre, and 6 x holiday apartments.
Bunbeg is a seaside town located on the north west coast of Co. Donegal.
Allsop also state the hotel situated approximately “51km west of Letterkenny with transport links in the area include the National Road providing direct access to the towns of Annagry, Falcarragh and Letterkenny and is prominently situated at the end of Strand Road overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean.”
The total site area extends to approximately 30.7 hectares (76 acres).
It states each apartment is 77 square metres in size with the hotel having total area of 3,667 square metres.
