A season of creativity at Carrowmenagh Community Centre, with courses for everyone

Carrowmenagh Community Centre is located five miles from Moville and ten miles from Carndonagh.

Carrowmenagh Community Centre is buzzing with excitement as it launches its autumn schedule, offering a wide range of brilliant courses designed to inspire, teach, and bring people together over the coming months.

The North Inishowen centre believes in providing fun and creative lifelong learning opportunities for everyone, with a focus on hands-on activities, where participants get to make something tangible and unique. That's what its service users say they want.

This season’s programme is packed with options for every creative taste – from woodwork, upholstery, plumbing, photography and crafts to cooking, baking, and sewing.

Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, develop a hobby, or simply enjoy the company of like-minded people, there’s something there for you.

Starting September 2, 2025, Carrowmenagh Community Centre will be running a fully subsidised Regenerative Agriculture course, which will give local farmers practical skills in soil health, agroforestry, water management, and direct sales, with hands-on learning through a farm walk. It will provide an invaluable opportunity to boost productivity, protect the land, and strengthen the local farming community.

For the digitally inclined, the centre also runs a range of computer courses. While only a few have been scheduled at the time of publication, more are expected to follow. The centre now has super-fast fibre broadband.

Over the past few years, Carrowmenagh Community Centre has grown steadily in popularity, attracting learners from across the region – with participants travelling from Letterkenny, Newtowncunningham, Buncrana, and Derry to join in the fun.
