Heavy rain and high tides have combined to cause flooding in several parts of Donegal.

Motorists in all areas are advised to leave extra time for their journeys.

Carrickfinn has been particularly hard hit with extensive flooding in the vicinity of the airport, with the Carrickfinn Community Sports Field under water.

In Donegal Town, the high tide washed into the Pier Carpark. The water has since subsided. Donegal County Council had issued a flood warning to motorists.
