Atlantic Technological University (ATU) concludes its first Semester Open Days, wrapping up a series of eight events held across its nine campuses in Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo. The journey commenced in September at the Mountbellew campus and culminated in ATU's Galway City campus last week.
Last year, ATU welcomed 6,000 attendees to its Open Day events. This year, the university surpassed expectations with a turnout of 8,500 prospective students, an increase of over 40% marking record-breaking numbers across all ATU campuses.
In September 2023, ATU welcomed record first-year numbers across ATU's 9 campus locations. Atlantic Technological University offers 237 CAO programmes, 132 programmes at Level 8 and 105 programmes at Level 6/7.
"The significant increase in attendance at this year's Open Days reflects the growing appeal of Atlantic Technological University To prospective students who recognise the value and opportunities that ATU provides," Dr Orla Flynn, President of ATU, says.
The events were attended by students from across Ireland as well as Europe and the US, underlining the university's international appeal. The Open Days featured experiential activities, including engaging demonstrations and talks from across ATU's 12 schools and faculties, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
"The success of the Open Days is a testament to the collaborative effort put forth by the university community to make these events engaging and informative,” Dr Billy Bennett, VP for Academic Affairs and Registrar, said.
