Restricted access to Sliabh Liag due to path enhancement work

People hoping to visit the cliffs during that period will be able do so via local boat trip

Access to Sliabh Liag will be restricted due to upcoming work.

Path enhancement works are scheduled to take place in April. To facilitate helicopter lifts, access will be restricted from April 16 to 20. 

The work is being carried out under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme 2021 Measure 3, funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development.A spokesperson said: “Go raibh maith agaibh as bhur dtuiscint.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Paddy Byrne of Sliabh Liag Boat Trips is reminding visitors and locals who wish to see the cliffs during this period that they can do so from the sea. 

He took to Facebook to say: “The mountain is going to be restricted for a while but Sliabh Liag Boat Trips won't be. 

“Book us at www.sliabhleagueboattrips.com

“We will have 48 seats at five sailing times.”
