Four people have been hospitalised following a two-car collision in Dungloe on Friday morning.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision which occurred on the N56 Dungloe at 1:10pm on March 29. The second driver was arrested and is due to appear in court next month.
“The driver of the first car and the three female passengers, one aged in her 50s and two aged in their 60s, were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment for their injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time,” a Garda spokesperson told DonegalLive. “The male driver of the second car (30s) was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the Donegal area.”
The driver has since been charged and bailed to appear before Dungloe District Court on the morning of Tuesday, April 9. The road has since reopened. Investigations are ongoing.
