Damage caused to property following Letterkenny collision

Gardaí are hopeful of witnesses or dash cam footage as there was heavy funeral related traffic in the area at the time

Damage was caused to a fence at a property following a collision in Gortlee.

A white van with a partial registration of ’10 DL’ with a trailer attached caused damage to the property while turning on the road. It is believed that the trailer connected with the fence.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 6 shortly before 4pm.

“There was heavy funeral-related traffic in the area at the time so we are hopeful that someone may have seen this van or may have captured it on dashcam footage,” a garda spokesperson said. “We appeal to anybody who was in the area in a van similar to this with a trailer attached to come and speak with us if they believe that they may have caused the damage.

“They may not have realised at the time that damage had been caused. Gardaí may be contacted on 074-9167100 in relation to the incident.”
