A Donegal school took one of the special awards at the Dare to Believe PTSB 10th PExpo held in the National Indoor Arena Abbotstown on Thursday.
An investigation into the ‘The Prevalence of Knee Injuries in Female Athletes in Teams’ won the Best Project in the Irish Language prize senior category for Chloe Moy, Eimear Molloy, Eirin Boyle, Lauren Carroll, Meghan McGlynn of Gairmscoil Chu Uladh, Fintown.
It continues a solid record for Donegal schools at PExpo— at last year’s PExpo, Aisling Mullen, Katie Dowds and Síne Ryan from St Columba’s College, Stranorlar, took the top senior prize.
Overall, Dublin schoolboy Finn Crinion, a student at Coláiste Eoin in Booterstown, took a record four awards at the Dare to Believe PTSB 10th annual PExpo’ 24, including the overall junior award.
The best overall award in the senior category went to St Brigid’s Presentation School, Killarney (Aoife O’Keefe, Molly Collins, Faithleann O’Callaghan) for a project called ‘Sport Behind Bars’ which studied the effect of exercise on prisoners in Limerick jail.
