Donegal influencer Eric Roberts is reportedly in talks to take over the 2 Johnnies' RTÉ 2FM slot.
According to the Irish Mirror, 2FM bosses have revealed they are "road testing" some of the most popular influencers and comedians across Ireland to fill the drivetime slot.
It is currently being hosted by Lottie Ryan and David O'Reilly, with Ryan expected to be replaced with a new up-and-coming talent shortly.
Other influencers being considered as her replacement include TikTok sensation Garron Noone, and comedians Kayleigh Trappe and Justine Strafford.
Last week, Roberts visited RTÉ for a studio visit with Roz Purcell and Emma Power, who host the 12pm to 3pm slot on Saturdays and Sundays.
In an Instagram post, he jokingly teased "The Eric Roz & Emma show" and commented, "Eric, Roz and Emma has a nice ring to it."
Fans of Roberts praised his performance on the show, with one Instagram user stating, "You were amazing! Great fun together."
Another commented, "Good show was listening earlier" while another wrote, "I can see you doing a radio show but the key is not to move to Dublin. Do it from home stay your true self."
Another fan commented, "Bravo mo chara, was listening in and you came across very well."
Roberts - who has over 650,000 TikTok followers - is currently a regular contributor with Ireland AM.
