Frank McGlynn has been appointed the principal of Dooish National School.
McGlynn’s new appointment is close to home as he previously attended Dooish National School, located between Glenfin and Stranorlar. The announcement was made in a statement by the board of management of Dooish National School.
The Glenfin native had previously been the principal at Drumkeen National School since 2019.
McGlynn was part of the Donegal side that won Sam Maguire in 2012 and was nominated for GAA Player of the Year with teammates Colm McFadden and eventual winner Karl Lacey.
The now 37-year-old made his championship debut in 2006 and played inter-county football until 2019, winning five Ulster SFC titles. He still plays with his local club, Glenfin.
