Donegal’s two senators have taken up their roles in Seanad Éireann.

Senator Manus Boyle will be spokesperson for Fisheries & Marine and Senator Nikki Bradley will be spokesperson for Disability and Children.

“This morning, I received a call from Tánaiste Simon Harris inviting me to take on the role of Spokesperson for Fisheries & Marine in Seanad Éireann,” Senator Boyle posted on Tuesday. “I am honoured to accept this position and eager to get to work.

“This is a strong step forward in Fine Gael’s commitment to revitalising Ireland’s fishing industry. There’s a lot to be done, but I’m ready as always to get started. It’s a great day for the industry and another step forward in the right direction.”

Senator Bradley said: “I am delighted to share that I have been appointed as the spokesperson for Disability and Children in Seanad Éireann. Ensuring that every child has the support they need to thrive and that people with disabilities have equal opportunities in every aspect of life is a responsibility I take seriously.

"Advocacy, accessibility, and inclusion must be at the heart of policymaking, and I am committed to using my voice in the Seanad to push for meaningful change.
