Funding granted for pedestrian footbridge on busy Donegal road

The bridge will run alongside the Clady Bridge in Bunbeg on the R257

Funding has been allocated to build a new footbridge adjacent to the Clady Bridge at Bunbeg.

The bridge over the Clady River on the R257 has long been a safety concern for pedestrians.

A recent feasibility study and review of road safety improvement, environmental impact and costs determined that a footbridge was the most efficient option.
