“We have arranged the event as a way of helping people recreate community connections lost over the pandemic, we are at our heart a social people who value community spirit and know that together we can achieve great things.”
John Curran of the Volunteer Centre is keen to encourage groups and people of all ages to come along.
He said: “Like many things the impact volunteers have on all communities can go unnoticed until we have an event like the pandemic. Over that period communities stood with and for each other and we are keen to keep that sense of community going as we reopen community facilitates and services again”
