A number of premises are without water in the Letterkenny area.
Is it not yet clear what has caused the service disruption which has been reported to Donegal County Council and Irish Water.
A spokesperson for Irish Water said: "We are currently investigating reports of a supply disruption to Carnamogagh Upper, Letterkenny and surrounding areas in County Donegal."
Motorists are advised that traffic may be affected as a result of the investigation.
