A motorist was clocked by gardaí driving at more than double the speed limit on the M50 recently.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit were on duty in South Dublin when they detected the Tesla car being driven at more than twice the legal limit.
Gardaí say they clocked the Tesla car travelling at 168km in a 100km zone along the M50.

Gardaí have renewed calls for drivers to slow down on the roads.
"Our Roads Policing Unit in South Dublin clocked this vehicle travelling at 168km in a 100km zone along the M50," gardaí said in post on X.
"Driving over the speed limit can cause a fatal or serious road traffic collision that can cost you your own life or the lives of others."
