BREAKING: Fourth man arrested in connection with fatal stabbing of Nigerian man in Dublin

Quham Babatunde was killed in the early hours of Saturday morning, 15 February.

Gardaí have confirmed that a fourth man has been arrested in connection with the fatal assault of Quham Babatunde in Dublin City Centre over a week ago on Saturday, 15 February. 

Babatunde, a 34-year-old man originally from Nigeria, was named locally as the man killed in the fatal assault in the early hours of Saturday morning on South Anne Street and Duke Lane Upper.

Another man in his 30s was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained during the incident.

The incident was believed to have occurred after a row which began in nightclub spread onto the street. 

Gardaí arrested a fourth man in his 20s on Tuesday morning in connection with the fatal assault. He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in Dublin. 

Three other men have been charged in relation to the assault. 

The investigation is ongoing.
