McFadden  will take part in the New Balance Grand Prix Elite Junior Boys International Mile,  a part of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, a World Athletics Indoor Tour gold level meet.

Cranford AC's McFadden will compete against the best high scholars from the United States, Canada, Netherlands and Great Britain.

“I am delighted, it's a massive boost for me,” McFadden told Donegal Live.

“I'll get on the track over the next two weeks and get ready for this.

“This will be the biggest race and event I'll have competed in. The experience will be the main thing from this for me.”

Having won national golds on the track, over 800m and 1500m in 2022, McFadden won the Irish under-16 cross country title on home turf at Rosapenna.

Also in action at the Track at New Balance in Boston, will be English and Flanagan.

European gold and World Indoor gold medallist Mariano García, World Indoor bronze medallist Bryce Hoppel and American Erik Sowinski and Commonwealth silver medal winner Kyle Langford will line up against English.

Flanagan shaved over 13 seconds off her PB to set a new Donegal indoor 3,000m record at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge in New York at the weekend.

On Saturday, Flanagan will run over the same distance.
