Five Donegal athletes left the Ulster Senior Track and Field Championships in Belfast at the weekend.

Lifford-Strabane AC throwers Gareth Crawford and Ellie McCurdy bagged gold while Finn Valley pair James Kelly and Lauren Gallagher topped their charts and Tir Chonaill AC's Conal Mahon was also atop the podium.

Crawford took the men's javelin gold at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast thanks to a 65.81m throw.

The women's javelin gold also went to the Lifford-Strabane AC with the ever-improving McCurdy reaching out to a best of 38.49m.

Mahon landed the men's triple jump gold when jumping to 14.4m with Finn Valley AC's Joseph Gillespie the next best here, going out to 13.63m.

Callaghan's best effort of 5.58m secured the long jump gold in an event that saw her club-mate Amy Timoney finish in fourth.

Kelly's throw of 16.75m won the shot put crown with Gavin McLaughlin, also of Finn Valley, taking the silver with a 15.93m throw.

Damian Crawford of Lifford-Strabane won two silvers with efforts of 31m and 29.03m earning second in the discus and hammer throws.

Tir Chonaill AC's Lucy McGlynn left with a silver and a bronze.

McGlynn won silver in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 1:02.33. The race was won by Caryl Moore in 1:00.66.
