Carndonagh Boxing Club hosted its annual tournament on Friday night at Barrack Hill.

Carndonagh Boxing Club hosted its annual home tournament at Barrack Hill on Friday night.

A total of 13 bouts, including three exhibitions, kept the crowd on their toes throughout.

Kieran Cunningham, Carndonagh’s 2022 Irish Boy 4 66kgs finalist, overcame Joe Cunningham in one of the top fights of the night.

The Carn man overcame his opponent, from the St Joe’s club in Derry, taking the unanimous verdict of the judges.

Kyrin Kelly recorded a UD win over Carrickmore’s Liam Corcoran while Jack Doherty edged out Twin Towns man Callum McLaughlin and Noah Quinn had an excellent win against Jack Anderson.

Results: Kieran Cunningham (Carndonagh) beat Joe Cunningham (St Joe’s) 3-0; Kyrin Kelly (Carndonagh) beat Liam Corcoran (Carrickmore) 3-0; Jack Doherty (Carndonagh) beat Callum McLaughlin (Twin Towns) 2-1; Noah Quinn (Carndonagh) beat Jack Anderson (Twin Towns) 3-0; Darragh Porter (Carndonagh) lost to Shaun Doohan (Dunfanaghy) 0-3; Roco McDaid (Carndonagh) beat Nathan Mullan (St Canice’s) 3-0; Justin McGuinness (Carndonagh) lost to Owen Thomas (St John Bosco) 0-3; Coran McLaughlin (Carndonagh) lost to Daire O’Kane (St Canice’s) 0-3; Calvin Logue (Carndonagh) lost to Mark Harte (Carrickmore) 1-2; Joe Doherty (Carndonagh) lost to Patrick McDaid (St Bridget’s, Clonmany) 0-3
