Seventh for Gary McElhinney at East African Safari Classic

Laghy man Gary McElhinney was seventh at the recent East African Safari Classic Rally.

Calling the notes for British driver Andrew Biddall in a Datsun 260Z, McElhinney landed a seventh-place finish.

The rally took place in Nairobi and Kenya and ran over 24 stages that encompassed 1568km of stage time.

The East African Safari Classic Rally is regarded as of the world’s toughest events as it spans nine days.

Italian crew Eugenio Amos and Paolo Ceci won in a Porsche 911 from Baldev Chager and Gareth Dawe, also in a 911.
