Finn Valley AC Masters athletes
The European Masters Athletics Indoor Championships begin this Sunday, St Patrick’s Day, with five Finn Valley athletes set to compete.
Up first on Sunday is Kay Byrne in the 3,000m while Byrne, alongside Noreen Bonner, is again in action in the cross-country event on Tuesday.
Sinead McConnell is also out on the Tuesday - competing in the 3k walk. Moving onto Friday, McConnell will also compete in the 5k walk.
On Saturday next, Byrne, McConnell and Garvin Boyce are all out in their respective 1,500m events.
Other Donegal interest in the championships, which run from the 17th right up until the 25th, include Shane Toolan from Tír Chonaill AC, Brian Boyce from Milford, and Barry Mackey of Letterkenny AC.
