Donegal teenager Joshua Henry produced a superb performance at the weekend on his debut race in the ICCR junior mini challenge which saw him finish second in race one and fourth in his second race.

The Donegal man has signed a three-year contract with Stables Motorsport Centre, that will see the Inver native drive for the brand until 2027.

While superbly finishing second in race one, in race two he held first position until lap five when he had contact from the attacking car which dropped him back in the pack, but he kept the push on and managed to take fourth position.

It’s been a serious number of months for the 14-year-old, having clinched the Junior Mini Cup Championship at Nutts Corner back in October following a superb summer which saw him take top spot at Aghadowey last August.

In doing so, Henry won the Junior class, but more astonishingly he came third overall out of 42 competitors in the adult class.

From such a high in 2023, the young teenager was able to keep his positive momentum flowing into 2024 when he was invited down to Mondello Park in Caragh in Kildare where he is now competing in a new championship season with the Irish Circuit Championship Racing.

And it was there where the Inver driver caught the eye of Donagh Kelly who has now signed the south Donegal man on a three-year contract.
