Brendan Boyce has been given one final chance to qualify for his fourth Olympic Games.

The Finn Valley AC athlete will attempt qualification in the marathon racewalk mixed relay this Saturday morning at Morton Stadium.

Boyce and Kate Veale will compete at Morton Stadium in Santry in what represents the last chance for the Milford man to book a spot in Paris.

A hamstring injury looked to have put Boyce out of contention.

Boyce was unable to finish the World Team Championships in Turkey due to the injury, but has declared himself fit for the weekend.

To qualify, Boyce and Veale must complete the marathon distance faster than 3:08:44 and also win the race.

Boyce is based in Cork where he is coached by former World race walking champion Rob Heffernan.

Hecompeted at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games over the 50km race walk, an event that has since been shelved.
