Thumbs up from Joshua Henry after his win
Inver teenager Joshua Henry had his latest victory on Saturday in Wales – and drove a new lap record.
Henry drove brilliantly to win in the Patch Tyre Equipment Junior MINI Challenge and added another fine win on Sunday.
Saturday's victory at Trac Môn Anglesey Circuit was his second victory in the Championship this year. Logan Hoey was second with Jack Fildes completing the podium in third.
Henry's fastest lap of 1:25.253 established the class lap record at the Welsh circuit.
The Donegal driver followed up on Sunday when coming from P3 on the start line. The top four drivers shared the placings with Henry defending his position for the win.
It's now three wins from four rounds of the Championship with their next stop taking them to Kirkistown at the end of August.
In July at Mondello Park, Henry edged out Bobby Joe McFall and Hoey.
Last October, Henry won the Junior MINI Cup at Nutts Corner, following on from an excellent summer where he topped the pile in Aghadowey, also finishing third overall in the adult class – aged just 14.
His performances in 2023 caught the eye of Donagh Kelly and the former Irish Tarmac Rally Championship winner snapped up the exciting prospect.
