Alongside Eve McCrystal, the Irish pair ranks fifth in heats, and now eyes another medal in upcoming final

Paracyclist Katie-George Dunlevy, alongside her pilot Eve McCrystal, has successfully advanced to the finals of the Women's B 1000m Time Trial at the Paralympic Games.

The pair clocked a time of 1:09.094 in this afternoon’s heats, placing them fifth overall.

The finals are scheduled for 15:34 Irish time.

Dunlevy, at her fourth Games of a career that's yielded a host of gold and silver medals, and her pilot Eve McChrystal were in for heat five and shared the track with Britain's Sophie Unwin, and while the British para cyclist set the fastest time so far, Dunlevy finished third in 1:09.094 and safely qualified for the final

Dunlevy, whose father John hails from Mountcharles, already boasts an impressive collection of three gold and two silver Paralympic medals from Rio and Tokyo, in addition to five gold medals from the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships.
