Sparks will fly on Saturday night as Dunfanaghy Boxing Club hosts a tournament at the Ozanam Centre.

The first bell is scheduled to sound at 8pm with a number night in store as the natives host a Dublin selection.

Shaun Doohan, who was crowned the Irish Boy 4 70kgs champion this year, will help to lead the local charge.

Light-middleweight Doohan will be buoyed on by a big home support when he squares up to Senan Kennedy.

In the spring, Doohan defeated Adrian Kepes from St Pappins BC in Ballymun on a 4-1 split decision at the National Stadium and returns to home comforts this weekend.

The 2023 Youth 2 57kgs kingpin Conor Durning is also in action and is slated for a bout with Kia Griffen from Dublin.

Sean Kelly has returned to the ring recently and the Irish Junior 2 champ from 2017, who recently won the Senior 60kgs title at the Donegal Open Championships in Carndonagh, will be upon home canvas on Saturday.

Kelly will meet Dennis Moldova while his younger brother will go up against Rahman Abduhasser.

Three-time Irish champion Roisin Hegarty, who is now boxing out of Twin Towns Boxing Club, will face Dubliner Kayleigh Ledwidge. Hegarty won three Irish titles at the Illies Golden Gloves and competed at the European Schoolgirls Championships earlier this year in Banya Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
