Grace Simati in action for Ireland againast Italy
Grace Simati marked a major milestone on Sunday as she earned her first Ireland U-21 cap in a narrow 30-27 victory over Italy during the Women's U-21 Six Nations at the Dexcom Stadium.
Operating in the front row, Simati entered the action in the 64th minute, coming on as a replacement for Ella Burns.
She contributed to Ireland’s strong showing as the side secured an impressive 55-8 win at the Galway venue, providing an excellent start to their campaign.
Letterkenny RFC congratulated Grace on their social media on Monday.
"A huge congratulations to Grace Simati on her fantastic achievement of being selected for the Ireland Women's U21 Rugby Team squad for the upcoming Six Nations!"
"This is a massive milestone and a testament to Grace’s hard work, dedication, and talent. Everyone at Letterkenny RFC is incredibly proud to see one of our own representing her country on the international stage."
"We wish Grace the very best of luck in the tournament — we’ll all be cheering you on!"
